In the 2016 Massachusetts Division One Championships, Westford Academy won the girl’s title with 312 points. Beverly was second and Lincoln-Sudbury took third.
On the men’s side, St. John’s Prep took first place with 287 points. Westford took second and Acton-Boxborough was third.
The meet started off in record-setting fashion. Beverly’s 200-yard medley relay team of backstroker Kaitlin Harty, breaststroker Sarah Welch, butterflier Andrea Higgins and freestyler Grace Athanas touched in 1:46.39, tying the state record set in 2014.
