The CT Branin Natatorium in Canton, OH saw another morning of fast swims from the best high school swimmers in the state this morning. Swimmers from the Division I powerhouses including Upper Arlington and the boys’ defending champions Cincinnati St. Xavier took to the pool today to qualify for the finals which will be held tomorrow evening.
Mason’s team of Caroline Wolf (27.67), Jordan Decker (29.16), Ashley Volpenhein (24.66), and Lauren Thomas (23.78) qualified first going into tomorrow night with a time of 1:45.27. The second seed was claimed by North Canton Hoover’s team of Kate Lochridge (27.07), Annie Lochridge (29.05), Amanda Palutis (26.23), and Parker Timken (23.73) when they touched at 1:46.08. A team of Hanna Gresser (25.65), Carly Hart (28.79), Emma Kaczmar (27.40), and Bryanna Renuart (24.39) claimed the third seed for Cuyahoga Falls Walsh Jesuit just three tenths behind North Canton Hoover (1:46.38).
