California senior Rachel Bootsma and head coach Teri McKeever joined Swimming World after the third night of finals at the women’s NCAA championships to discuss their second-place Golden Bears, who trail Georgia by just 17.5 points heading into the last night of finals. Bootsma discussed winning her third NCAA title in the 100 back in the past three years and the adversity she fought through just to get behind the blocks on Friday.
McKeever spoke about how her team has come together despite holes in their lineup and the impact that freshman Kathleen Baker, Amy Bilquist and the absent Katie McLaughlin have had on the squad.
