Following his incredible 1:30.46 swim in the 200 free, which crushed Simon Burnett’s U.S. Open Record set in 2006, Townley Haas and Eddie Reese sat down with David Rieder of Swimming World. The pair discussed the journey from his incredible relay split two days ago to his performance today, as well as the role of teammate Clark Smith in his preparation. The duo laugh about Haas’s progress throughout the year, specifically in his work on turns. Reese also mentions a text from Burnett which congratulated Haas and advised him to keep listening to Reese.
