Lia Neal talked about her beginning in swim lessons and her first experience racing as a part of a team, in her USA Swimming Olympic Team video. She believes sharing the sport with her teammates is what makes it so enjoyable.
“Swimming has definitely shaped me to be the person I am today,” reflected the 21 year old.
The Stanford swimmer will swim in her second Olympic Games this summer, once again as a member of the 400 freestyle relay. In 2012, she earned a bronze medal as a member of the relay. At Trials, she finished fourth in the 100 freestyle.
