Conor Dwyer started swimming and continued the sport as it was a family appear. He told the story of his first state championship title, swum with his goggles in his mouth.

The 27 year old also shared the story of his development, from a struggling high schooler not even on the Varsity team to a college walk on. The Trojan Swim Club athlete spoke about the importance of hard work and perseverance to reach the pinnacle of the sport.

In London in 2012, Dwyer won gold as a member of the 800 freestyle relay and finished fifth in the 400 freestyle. He’ll head to Rio in the 200 and 400 freestyles and as a member of the 800 freestyle relay. Dwyer has posted the world’s seventh best 400 freestyle this year.
