Top 5 Takeaways From The ACC Weekend

With exactly one month out from the start of the women’s ACC Championships, eight teams competed this past weekend.

1. Hokie Men Improve to 11-0
The Virginia Tech men defeated Virginia for the third straight year in dual meet action. The No. 46 ranked Hokies beat the No. 15 Cavaliers 212.5-104.5, improving to 11-0 this season. With just over a month from the start of the men’s ACC Championships, the Hokie men will look to improve upon their 3rd place finish last year.

2. Virginia Relays on Fire
The Virginia women dominated the relays in their dual meet against Virginia Tech and Towson. They won the 200 free relay, the 200 medley relay, and the 400 free relay by over three seconds, and the 400 medley relay by four seconds. The Cavaliers lead the NCAA with top times in the 200 medley relay, the 200 free relay, and the 400 medley relay, and will be top contenders at ACCs and NCAAs in those events.
