After a whirlwind Olympic summer Swimming World is excited to announce new staff hires and promotions.
Taylor Brien has been promoted to Operations Manager of Swimming World. A member of the inaugural class of the CSCAA Swimming World internship program, she was first hired in June 2015 as Circulation Manager and soon after added Staff Writer to her responsibilities. In her expanded role, Brien will continue to oversee Swimming World’s day-to-day operations and lead coverage of major swimming events around the world.
A Swimming World contributor since 2009, David Rieder joins the staff as the new host of SwimmingWorld.TV with Joe Johnson as main producer. Additionally, Rieder will continue his role as a staff writer travelling to events and conducting interviews with many of swimming’s biggest names. Johnson moves into a full-time position with the company and will maintain his position as an in-house graphic designer where he produces Swimming World Biweekly, Swimming Technique Magazine, and all graphic web content.
After stepping up and filling the role of Editorial Assistant this summer Cathleen Pruden has officially taken over as Swimming World’s High School Content Manager. In her new position Pruden will oversee all high school related content and coverage, as well as serve as Swimming World’s NISCA liaison.
