Sweden’s Sarah Sjostrom uncorked a 56.72 this morning in the women’s 100-meter fly at the 2016 Arena Pro Swim Series Austin.
That would have been the seventh-ranked time in the world last year if not for her stunning world record 55.64 from the 2015 World Championships last summer.
Sjostrom is playing for keeps here in Austin as the highest-profile Arena swimmer here at the company’s crown jewel series. Â Look for Sjostrom to put up another sizzler during finals tonight.
