Park Tae-hwan‘s agency announced that the four time Olympic medalist will compete in the 88th Dong-A Swimming Competition starting next Monday, according to The Korea Herald.
Park tested positive for testosterone before the 2014 Asian Games and was handed an 18 month ban.
Two weeks ago, the Korean Olympic Committee upheld an additional three year ban on Park that will keep him out of the Rio Olympics.
Given this additional ban, it was uncertain if Park would still compete in the upcoming national meet, since he is unable to earn an Olympic berth. Park will swim, and is entered in 100, 200, 400, and 1500 meter freestyle events.
