Melbourne Vicentre’s Oliver Nash delivered two wins in the first day of competition at the 2016 Australia State Teams Short Course Championships. Nash finished first in both the boys 14-15 50 free (22.86) and 50-meter fly (24.94) as a representative of the state of Victoria.
Jasper Dejager of Queensland touched first in the boys 16-17 50-meter free with a final time of 22.73, while Carter Swift of Victoria posted the only other sub 23-second swim at a 22.96.
Queensland’s Lydia Murray posted the top finish in the girls 13-14 50-meter free at a 25.86, but settled for second in the 50-meter fly with a 27.34. Teammate Brooke Napper claimed first with a 27.11.
