New Hampshire Stays Ahead in America East Champs

After two days of the America East Conference Championships, New Hampshire has held on to a slim lead in the meet. The Wildcats have scored 299 points, Maryland, Baltimore County is in second with 282 and Vermont is in third with 240 points. They are followed by Maine and Binghamton, respectively.

New Hampshire’s Jess Harper took first place in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:48.29. The Wildcats also took second and third. Brittany Moffatt touched in 4:53.34 and Brittany Driscoll posted a time of 4:53.75.

In the 200-yard individual medley, Maryland, Baltimore County’s Emily Escobedo touched first in 1:57.32. Her teammate Kayla Lilly was second in 2:03.77 and New Hampshire’s Bettina Caspersen touched third in 2:04.86.
