After day one of the American East Championships, the New Hampshire women have tallied 125 points. The Wildcats are in first place. The University of Maryland, Baltimore County is in second (102 points), Vermont is in third (99 points), followed by Maine (86 points) and Binghamton (61 points).
New Hampshire took the women’s 800-yard freestyle relay. The team of Liza Baykova, Brittany Moffatt, Jess Harper and Brittany Driscoll touched in 7:16.14. Maryland, Baltimore County took second in 7:23.01 and Vermont took third with a time of 7:27.49. Maine and Binghamton finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
Maryland, Baltimore County brought home a relay victory in the 200-yard medley relay. Backstroker Lauren Day, breaststroker Emily Escobedo, butterflier Amanda Day and freestyler Kristie Langford touched in 1:41.26. Vermont took second with a time of 1:43.48 and New Hampshire was third in 1:44.91.
