Mitch Larkin cranked out an Australian All-Comers record of 52.48 to top qualifying and move to the top of the world rankings at the 2016 Australian Nationals.
Larkin cleared Aaron Peirsol’s previous record of 52.98 set back in 2007, and moved ahead of Ryan Murphy’s 52.57 for the top ranking this year.
Joshua Beaver qualified second in 53.75 with Zac Incerti hitting the wall third in 54.19. Â Ashley Delaney wound up fourth in 54.21.
