Missy Franklin has been swimming a bit of a different line up this weekend at the Plantation sectionals. Thursday night the Colorado Star swam a plethora of relays, including a breaststroke leg. Tonight, she finished in a lifetime best of 4:12.33 in the 400 freestyle, just under her 4:12.56 from 2013. Makos Aquatics’ Alena Kraus and Swim Florida’s Kendall Brent tied for second in 4:20.48.
Stanford commit Erin Voss won the 100 backstroke by nearly a second in a 1:02.26. She was followed by Mexican Olympian Fernanda Gonzalez, representing the Colorado Stars, in 1:03.19. Gator Swim Club’s Caitlin Brooks placed third in 1:03.91.
