Michigan added an 11th swimmer to its NCAA contingent with the scratch by UNLV’s Pavel Semochkin.
Michigan’s Ian Rainey, the first alternate, now moves into the 2016 NCAA Division I Men’s Championships with his 400-yard IM B cut of 3:45.61.
Rainey finished third at the 2016 Big Ten Championships with a 3:45.91, and also wound up sixth in the 1650 free (15:09.78) and ninth in the 500 free (4:21.85) as the Michigan Wolverines rolled to another Big Ten title.
