Michigan competed in an unconventional-style meet with 50s of butterfly, backstroke and breaststroke and a 100 IM on Saturday and beat in-state rival Michigan State in the process.
The Wolverine men won every single event on the day. Jeremy Raisky, Jason Chen and Matt McNamara each won two events on the day for the Wolverines. McNamara was the breaststroker on the winning 400 medley relay team along with Pete Brumm, Dylan Bosch and Anders Nielsen. They won the race with a 3:14.89. McNamara then won the 50 breast at 25.77.
Chen started his Saturday with a win in the 50 back (22.20) and a win in the 100 IM (49.41). Raisky won the 50 butterfly (21.46) and was a member of the winning 200 free relay team. Kyle Dudzinski, Aaron Ghiglieri and Nielsen joined Raisky on the winning 200 free relay team. Michigan also won the 800 free relay with PJ Ransford, Nick Killeen, Kai Williams and Mokhtar Al-Yamani with a 6:37.94.
