The final session of the 2016 Eastern Interscholastic Swimming and Diving Championships saw more quick swims and the establishment of two more new meet records. The Mercersburg women took first in the meet with a final score of 471 while, it was the Peddie men who took first with a meet record-breaking 517.
Alex Sumner of Episcopal downed the meet record in the women’s 100 back by more than half a second. The previous meet record was set by Teresa Crippen in 2008 and was a time of 54.16. Sumner lowered that record to a final 53.57. Second in the back went to Michaela McGeary of Notre Dame and her time of 57.91, while Linsly’s Sydney West rounded out the top three with a 1:00.07.
