Stanford’s Maya DiRado won her third title of the meet with a sizzler in the women’s 200-meter IM at the 2016 Arena Pro Swim Series Orlando.
DiRado hit the wall in a scorching 2:10.77 to move to third in the world behind Katinka Hosszu’s 2:07.69 from earlier today and Sakiko Shimizu’s second-ranked 2:10.51. Â DiRado’s previous best this year had been her prelim 2:13.65.
Saint Petersburg’s Melanie Margalis raced her way into second in the finale with a time of 2:11.72 to move to third in the world, while BlueFish’s Elizabeth Beisel took third in 2:12.43 for seventh in the world rankings in what was a truly fast final heat.
