Having secured her Olympic berth in the 400 IM, Maya DiRado took the top seed for the shorter IM as well. She touched in 2:11.66 in prelims this morning.
2012 Olympian Caitlin Leverenz posted a 2:11.89 as she won the first circle seeded heat in her quest for a ticket to Rio. That swim will make her second headed into semifinals.
In an impressive double, Melanie Margalis hopped back in the pool after her third ranked 200 freestyle. She clocked a 2:12.36 to win the second circle seeded heat for the third seed.
NCAA Champion Ella Eastin was second to her Stanford teammate DiRado in the final circle seeded heat and fourth overall in 2:12.87.
