Peru’s Mauricio Fiol Villanueva, who popped a positive test for the substance Stanozolol during the 2015 Pan American Games last summer, has been suspended for four years according to a release from FINA.
Fiol had already turned in a 52.25 in the 100-meter fly and a 1:55.15 in the 200-meter fly. Â The time in the 200 fly had earned him a silver in the contest, which will now be forfeited to Canada’s Zack Chetrat. Â Canada’s Alec Page, meanwhile, moves from fourth to third in the 200 fly.
Fiol was booted from the Pan American Games last summer after his positive test.
