The 2016 Nebraska State High School Championships kicked off yesterday with quick swims in prelims.
Olivia Calelgan of Lincoln Southwest grabbed the first-place seed in the 50 free with a time of 22.95, while teammate Clara Walstad finished second with a 23.80.
Calegan also nabbed the top seed in the 100 free with a swift 50.30, over two seconds ahead of the competition.
