France’s Lara Grangeon crushed her own French record in the women’s 400-meter IM during day one of the 2016 French Open National Championships.
Grangeon clocked a winning time of 4:36.61. That swim cleared her previous mark of 4:37.55 set at this meet last year. Â It also moved her to fifth in the world rankings.
Fantine Lesaffre placed second in 4:39.73 with Coralie Codevelle taking third in 4:47.75.
