With an exciting start to the night, the women’s 200 meter free took off with the top three all finishing within about a half second of each other.  Mckenna Meyer stole first with a best time of 2:03.31, while Liberty Gilbert out touched Halladay Kinsey for second.  Gilbert clocked in a time of 2:03.89 and Kinsey finished at 2:03.93.
As for the men’s 200 meter free, it was another close race tonight with Michael Tenney out touching Matthew Elkington for the win.  Tenney finished with a best time of 1:54.20, while Elkington was right behind him at 1:54.60. Behind Elkington, Daniel Ilin finished third with a best time of 1:55.62.
After going into the finals as the third seed, Kenisha Liu had her third individual win of the meet after finishing first in the women’s 400 meter IM with a time of 4:47.77.  After taking the lead right from the start, Liu never let up on the rest of the final heat.  Mckenna Meyer touched second behind Liu with a best time of 4:49.83.
Battling from behind, Hunter Lane had an amazing last hundred in the men’s 400 meter IM to steal the win with a time of 4:36.80.  After leading the race until the final 50 meters, Ike Shirakata touched second behind Lane with a best time of 4:38.00.  Shirakata touched just ahead of Daniel Marella who also finished with a best time of 4:38.00.
