On the second morning of the FINA World Cup in Paris, Jeanette Ottesen and Katinka Hosszu were well ahead of the field in the 100 freestyle. The two finished in 53.33 and 53.58. Zsuzsanna Jakabos was third with a 55.08.
Ottesen is also the first qualifier in tonight’s 50 butterfly with her 25.77.
Yulia Efimova was the only swimmer under 30 seconds in prelims of the 50 breaststroke, touching in 29.96. After tying her own world record in yesterday’s 100, Alia Atkinson was second in 30.11, just .02 faster than Katie Meili in 30.13.
