Another top five time in the world was posted at tonight’s day three finals of the German Nationals.
With the fifth best time in the world this season, Jan-Philip Glania won gold in tonight’s 200 backstroke. He stopped the clock in 1:56.01. This morning he posted a 1:58.04 to clear the German Olympic prelims standard, and tonight’s time was also well under the necessary 1:58.02.
With a 1:57.46 Christian Diener earned silver. Mark Fischer was back in 2:00.96, fast enough for bronze.
