After hosting Virginia and NC State on Friday, North Carolina travelled to the Taishoff Aquatic Pavilion on Saturday to compete against Duke. The Tar Heel women beat the Blue Devils 179-121, while the men beat Duke 156-142.
Both the Blue Devil women (1:37.91) and men (1:29.03) started off the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay.
North Carolina’s Hellen Moffitt was a triple event winner. Moffitt won the women’s 100 back (54.16) and 200 back (1:57.54), as well as the 100 fly (53.29), establishing a new pool record.
