Heartland Aquatics’ (Lincoln, NE) Clara Walstad will be keeping her talents in state as she has announced her verbal commitment to the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
“It has been a dream of mine to swim in college and in the big ten, staying in the Midwest. The Cornhuskers impressed me with their amazing team culture, it is a hugely supportive group of girls and I already felt like a part of the team on my recruiting trip. Go Swim Red!â€
Clara is a member of Heartland Aquatics’ National Team and Lincoln Southwest High School Silverhawks where she is the NSAA High School and Midwestern Swimming LSC 15-16yr record holder in the 100 backstroke. Clara has shown steady progress over the last three years in her primary events: 50FR, 100 FR, 100 BK and 100Fly.
