China, Colombia, Germany, Italy, Japan, Switzerland and the USA grabbed a gold medal this weekend in Bolzano, Italy, as the city staged the fifth leg of the FINA Diving Grand Prix 2016, from July 15-17.
FINA scholarship holder Guillaume Dutoit of Switzerland topped the men’s 3m event with 452.62 points, edging Japanese Sho Sakai (445.80) and France’s Matthieu Rosset (440.00).
In the women’s field, Japan and Italy led the charge this weekend as 1m world champion Tania Cagnotto won the 3m springboard event on home-soil with 355.60. Xu Zhihuan (CHN, 332.05) and Anastasia Nedobiga (UKR, 317.30) respectively stepped on the second and third steps of the podium.
Italian pair Tania Cagnotto/Francesca Dallape were the best in the 3m synchro and Japan pocketed victories in the individual and synchro 10m.
