Day three finals of the New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference Championships began tonight. The men’s and women’s 500 free, 100 back, 100 breast, 200 butterfly and 800 free relay were swam. The NSISC record in the women’s 500 free, 100 back and 200 fly and men’s 100 breast were broken.
Melanie Tombers of Delta won the women’s 500 free with a 4:56.66. With this time she broke the 2015 NSISC record of 4:57.84 West Florida’s Madeline Pitt went a 5:00.33 for the silver and her teammate Angie Gallastegui came in third place with a 5:03.63.
