Headed into Day 3 prelims of the Coastal Collegiate Swimming and Diving Championships the FGCU women and Incarnate Word men are in the lead.
Last night’s performance started with the 500 yard freestyle. Senior from Florida Gulf Coast, Lani Cabrera won the event with a 4:47.53 beating the meet record. She missed the CCSA record by only .10. Teammate Linda Shaw clocked in with a 4:48.17, a huge drop from prelims swim of 4:52.38. In third place was Liberty senior, Kristin VanDeventer (4:52.00).
