Evgeny Rylov continued his amazing week of swimming in Russia by breaking the European record in the men’s 200-meter back at the 2016 Russian Nationals.
Rylov raced his way to a 1:54.21 for the win. Â That swim beat the European record of 1:54.24 set by Radoslaw Kawecki back in 2013. Â It also cleared his own Russian record of 1:54.60 set just last year. Â Only Mitch Larkin has been faster this year with a 1:53.90 in Australia.
Rylov’s swim moved him up to sixth all time in the event’s rankings.
