Williams’ depth was evident, but a number of schools performed well in an overall quick prelims session Friday morning. There were significant time drops across events, including a new NESCAC meet record.
The morning opened with incredibly close 200 freestyle relays. Williams’ Megan Pierce, Lauren Jones, Faye Sultan, and Breanna Nguyen posted a 1:35.58 to claim the top seed. Bates (1:37.20) earned the second seed with the team of Sarah Daher, Lindsey Prelgovisk, Whitney Paine, and Caroline Depew. Amherst’s Katie Smith, Zoe Pappas, Dorit Song, and Sarah Conklin earned third (1:35.95).
