It was a sweet senior night for the South Carolina Gamecocks (No. 23 men, unranked women). Both the men’s and women’s teams won by a score of 175-125 over North Carolina-Wilmington, Queens and Wingate. The men and women teams are both 4-3 on the year.
The meet started with the 200-yard freestyle relay. South Carolina won the women’s race with a time of 1:35.17. The Gamecock team consisted of Meredith Vay, Mckenna Keith, Taylor Vincent and Caroline Petrone.
Queens took the men’s relay with a time of 1:23.10. The winning team consisted of Dutch Olympian Dion Dreesens, Ben Taylor, Zach Phelps and Ben Mayes.
The South Carolina men were led by Nils Wich-Glasen. The sophomore helped the Gamecocks to wins in the 200-yard medley relay (1:30.81) and 400-yard medley relay (3:19.29). He also won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 55.38 and finished second to Dreesens in the 200-yard freestyle (1:39.55).
