Danielle Galyer made sure to leave her mark at the Ohio State Invitational. The Kentucky junior capped off a strong weekend with a new Kentucky record in the 200-yard backstroke. Galyer went a 1:51.52, an NCAA ‘A’ time standard and two second ahead of the second place finisher.
The day started with the women’s 1650-yard freestyle. Florida’s Jessica Thielman brought home the victory with a time of 15:56.32. The Gators also won the men’s event. Arthur Frayler touched in at 14:52.12.
After Galyer’s dominant showing in the women’s 200-yard backstroke, Jack Blyzinskyj won the men’s event. The Florida junior posted a time of 1:41.96.
Florida’s Natalie Hinds posted an ‘A’ time standard in the 100-yard freestyle. Hinds touched in at 47.75. Caeleb Dressel continued his dominant weekend for the Gators in the men’s event. He won the race with a time of 42.54. He also earned an ‘A’ time standard in the event leading off the Gator’s 400-yard freestyle relay.
