The Ohio Division IIÂ Swimming Championships finals took place this evening at the CT Branin Natatorium in Canton, OH and it was a showcase of fast swims and good races.
The champion in the girls’ event was the team of Claire Doerr (26.46), Crile Hart (28.63), Lauren Heller (25.47), and Heather Svitavsky (23.71) of Gates Mills Hawken with a final time of 1:44.27, over a second and a half faster than their seed coming into the event. Second place went to the Cincinnati Mariemont team of Sadie DeCamp (27.19), Leah Dupre (29.10), Brooke Woellert (25.47), and Lainey Newman (24.20), who touched at a 1:45.96. The Columbus School for Girls was third (1:46.81) with a team of McKayla Moffat (26.69), Alicia Donley (29.99), Eleanor Smith (26.05), and Annie Moosavian (24.08).
