As expected, Chinese divers Chen Ruolin and Lui Huixia finished out 10m synchro with the gold medal. This is Chen’s third gold in the event, she was a part of the gold medal teams in London and Beijing. It was far from a blowout at the pool though, with the top three teams all finishing less than twenty points apart.
Malaysia’s Cheong Jun Hoong and Pandelela Rinong took home the silver medal. They we’re also the runners up after the Chinese team at the world cup earlier this year. The women proved to be worthy competition for the Chinese, trailing them by less then ten points.
