The Carmel Clay School Board approved a $600,000 upgrade to the Carmel High School Natatorium, according to the Indy Star.
The renovation is set to repair the pool’s roof and improve the ventilation system at the Natatorium. Â Construction is slated to begin in June and last for just longer than a month.
The changes are expected to be structural and not external as Roger McMichael, the associate superintendent of business affairs at Carmel Clay, has stated that most will not even notice anything was done once the project is complete.
“It will enhance the comfort level in the pool for both the swimmers and spectators,” McMichael told the Indy Star. “Nothing will look different. They won’t notice.”
