Federal Way, WA saw some blisteringly fast times tonight on the second evening of finals swimming at the Women’s Pac-12 Championship. It’s been quite a meet between No. 1 Stanford, No. 4 USC, and No. 6 California, with these three teams vying for a convincing lead. At the end of day two, USC has a two point lead over Stanford.
The night opened up with a fantastic showing in the 500 free. USC junior Chelsea Chenault took the title with a scorching 4:38.13, over a second faster than what she posted this morning. Second place was secured by the Arizona senior Bonnie Brandon (4:41.77), who just out-touched the Oregon State senior Sammy Harrison (4:41.85). With four women in the A final, USC accumulated a whopping 105 points to their team score.
