After a relaxed morning, Caeleb Dressel was among those stars who turned on the jets tonight, as a number of tonight’s winners at the 2016 Longhorn Aquatics June Invite took their victories in dominant fashion.
Dressel topped the podium in the men’s splash and dash with a 22.09. That time was a full 1.24 second faster than his prelims swim and only .03 slower than the 16th ranked 22.06 he swam in Orlando. In 22.94 and 23.25, Zach Apple and Andrew Marsh finished second and third.
Ashley Neidigh was first to the wall in the women’s 800, stopping the clock in 8:50.10. Zoe Thatcher followed in second with a 8:57.14. Hannah Burns finished just over nine minutes in 9:00.90.
