The No. 7 University of Arizona Wildcat women handily took the quad meet they hosted against unranked opponents Northern Arizona University, New Mexico State University, and Oregon State University on Friday January 8, 2016. With wins in 12 of 16 events, the margin of victory over each of the other teams was nearly 100 points.
The meet started off with a victory in the 200 medley relay, The team of Katrina Konopka, Emma Schoettmer, Taylor Garcia, and Annie Ochitwa claimed it with a winning time of 1:42.09. Freshman Emma McCarthy took second in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 17:10.38, just over two seconds behind Oregon State senior Samantha Harrison.
Sophomore Paige Kremer proved lethal in the sprints, tying for first in the 50 with freshman teammate Ochitwa (23.48) and winning the 100 free in a 50.93. Freshmen Sarah Shimura and Garcia, along with senior Schoettmer also took two events each. Shimura won  the 200 free (1:50.26) and  the 500 (4:55.73), Garcia won the 100 back (55.21) and 100 fly (56.11), while Schoettmer took 100 breast (1:04.28) and 200 breast (2:17.60).
Additional Wildcat winners included sophomore Cameron McHugh in the 200 back (2:00.82), freshman Mik Ranslem in the 200 fly (2:02.95), and and junior Sally Hackett on the 3-meter board (302.10).
