Each week, USA Swimming releases their top 20 zone times. Swimming World will provide a unique analysis of each zone. Here, you’ll find the zones’ strengths, top athletes, and top times.Â
Girls: Zoe Skirboll zoomed to five new top times for the 11-year old girls age group. She posted zone bests in the 50 and 100 free, 50 breast, 100 breast, and 50 fly. Angeline Harris provided the only new top time for the 12-year old girls in the 100 breast.
Kate Douglass hit two new top times for the 14-year old girls in the 50 and 100 free. Lauryn Johnson (100 fly) and Peters Township Swim Club’s Abby Hay (200 breast) also posted zone bests. Sarah Grinalds (50 free), Katie Pollock (100 free), Olivia Jack (100 breast), and Claire McNeary (200 IM) all swam top times for the 15-year old girls.
A slew of 16-year old girls posted new zone bests. Lindsay Stone led the way with two top times in the 200 free and 500 alongside Kristen Romano‘s two top times in the 100 free and 100 fly. Margaret Aroesty also notched two top times in the 100 breast and 200 IM. Nicole Parry (50 free) and Marcie Maguire (100 back) rounded out the age group with new zone bests.
