Aliena Schmidtke was one of a handful of swimmers to clear the U.S. Olympic Trials cut tonight at the 2016 Speedo Sectionals in Geneva.
Alexandria Norris cleared the Olympic Trials cut in the women’s 200-meter free with a winning 2:01.13. Â Delaney Barnard (2:03.01) and Aliena Schmidtke (2:04.78) finished second and third.
Schmidtke returned in the women’s 100-meter fly with a Trials cut time of 1:00.93. Â Kaitlyn Johnson (1:01.36) and Christine Jensen (1:02.39) rounded out the top three.
