Italy’s Alessia Polieri turned in the top time in the women’s 200-meter fly semis at the 2016 European Championships.
Polieri clocked a 2:07.49 for the top time this evening, moving into the top 15 in the world.
Hungary’s Liliana Szilagyi qualified second overall in 2:08.63 with Germany’s Franziska Hentke posting a third-seeded 2:08.74. Â Hentke is the second-fastest swimmer in the world this year with a 2:05.77 from German Nationals, so look for her to turn up the heat in finals.
