The No. 21 Missouri Tigers had a strong showing on their senior day. The Tigers defeated Vanderbilt by a score of 138-96.
The Tigers started off strong, taking the top two spots in the 200-yard medley relay. The team of backstroker Hannah Stevens, breaststroker Katharine Ross, butterflier Maddie Gehrke and freestyler Anna Patterson posted a time of 1:41.39, nearly half a second ahead of the second place Missouri team. Vanderbilt’s top team finished third with a time of 1:47.20.
Kira Zubar won the 200-yard freestyle for the Tigers with a time of 1:52.38. Vanderbilt’s Summer Brown took second with a time of 1:52.73.
Missouri’s Nadine Laemmler picked up a win for the Tigers in the 100-yard backstroke, touching the wall in 56.33. Abby Duncan had a big swim for the Tigers in the 100-yard breaststroke, posting a time of 1:00.13. Duncan won the race by nearly five seconds.
