The men’s 10 meter preliminaries will occur today at 3:00pm. Men’s platform is going to be a major clash between Olympic veterans and rookies, athletes on a quest for redemption and those just trying to prove themselves.

In 2012, the men’s ten-meter results came down to the last dive. China’s three-time world champion Qui Bo had finished prelims and semifinals in first place. In finals, American David Boudia was trailing close behind him. In the the final round, Qui and Boudia performed the same dive, a back two and a half with two and a half twists.
